More High School Hazing: Wrestlers at Prairie Ridge High Schoo Charged With Hazing

Five students accused in a high school hazing incident were charged Friday with simple battery.
The students, whose names were not released because they are juveniles, were members of the Prairie Ridge High School wrestling team, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

The investigation dates to Jan. 28, when school officials first were notified about the alleged hazing through an anonymous letter. Last month, police said a number of wrestlers were accused of restraining teammates while other team members slapped them on the stomach. Also, police investigated whether members of the team had touched private areas of other wrestlers through clothing.
